Technical Seminar Granic®

Companies VALPLAST CZ, spol. s r.o. and 1.PLASTCOMPANY, spol. s r.o. held the annual Granic® technical seminar on the 3rd of September which was attended by approximately 40 guests. The target of the seminar was to present the wide possibilities of using Granic® brand mineral masterbatches especially in the production of foils. The company VALPLAST presented specific solutions, recipes and mentioned the differences between individual Granic® products and their impact on the final products. 

Ing. Michal Valíček Jr. opened the Granic® seminar by introducing both companies 1.PLASTCOMPANY and VALPLAST. The company VALPLAST specializes in the supply of plastics and special additives. The company 1.PLASTCOMPANY represents foreign manufacturers of machine-technological equipment for processing and recycling of plastics. It also provides service and training in addition to the supplied equipment.  

The companies are currently active in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and also in Romania. 

The seminar continued by introducing the GCR Group which is a world leader in the production and development of high-quality mineral masterbatches with the Granic® label. The company was introduced by Ing. Eva Kolářová who was in touch via video call with Cigdem Temur, Product Manager.  

Ing. Martin Štilla had his lecture about VALPLAST partnership with Bamberger Polymers. This company is focused on the supply of primary and near to prime materials. 

Mineral masterbatches often have a significiantly higher density than the basic raw material and that´s why 1.PLASTCOMPANY pays the considerable attention to the appropriate method of dosing. It is a volume and accuracy of dosing that are the basic prerequisites for an achieving the desired results, whether the reason for use is economic savings, influencing mechanical or optical properties. The seminar therefore included the introduction of high-precision gravimetric dispensers from MOVACOLOR B.V. The lecture was led by Ing. Michal Mihalík, PhD. There was a functional single-component dispenser MCBalance available for testing.

The company 1.PLASTCOMPANY also presented the latest trends in the field of efficient and ecological methods of cooling process water and air through cooling technology Eurochiller S.r.l. 

Ing. Jana Babničová led the lecture about recycling, she introduced the pre-crushers of WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH and mills of Wanner Technik GmbH. The requirements of customers from the production sphere (plastics industry) and from the area of recycling (waste crushing) are often very different. However the requirement for an economically advantageous solution that will be tailored to the specific requirements of the customer is the same everywhere - regardless of the material being processed, the size of the production or the technology used. 

Last lecture was devoted to Functional additives to polyolefins. Vikram Bhadauria, via video call, introduced the Indian company ALOK Masterbatches which is the largest manufacturer of funcional additives and color masterbatches in India. 

There was a technical discussion followed after all the lectures. And there was also time for individual questions from participants.
