BOY in the digital world of medical technology

When the digital doors of MedTecLIVE will open on 20th April, 2021, BOY will also take part as a virtual exhibitor. Instead of a producing injection moulding machine in clean room version with the production of medical technology parts, the manufacturer of injection moulding machines up to 1,250 kN clamping force will present itself on the digital Medtec-Portal. In addition to the complete BOY product range, the digital BOY presentation offers visitors a comprehensive overview of the very compact clean room technology of the machine manufacturer located in Neustadt-Fernthal. BOY provides free access to the virtual MedtecLIVE via its homepage www.dr-boy.de

The cantilevered two-platen clamping unit of the BOY injection moulding machines offers a number of design advantages, especially for their use in medical technology. The BOY clean room concept is characterised by a minimum required size of the clean room. All the functions required for automated cleanroom production can be placed within the footprint of the BOY injection moulding machine. Thus, for example, the Laminar-Flow-Box can be positioned space-savingly above the clamping unit.

Under the cantilevered clamping unit is space for packaging facilities for the direct packaging of the medical moulded parts.

Since only a comparatively small space has to be “encapsulated” from the ambient air, this means significant cost advantages.

A „clever“ machine control with integrated start-up circuit to separate the first mouldings as well as the optional improvement of the floor clearance – perfect for the use in the clean room – are further advantages of the compact BOY-clean room technology.

Via two chat functions of the MedtecLIVE online-Portal, the visitors to the digital BOY-site can establish direct contact with BOY the Applications Technology as well as the BOY sales staff.
